Hello. My name is David Arpino and I have been a Registered Respiratory Therapist for nearly 20 years. I
am currently in the process of completing my BS in Resp Therapy through ETSU's online completion program and will be done
by summer 08. From there I will be going to PA school to be a Physician Assistant. I have been "under the wing"
of a thoracic surgeon and he has agreed to help me with my education if I can get into UAB's Surgical PA program. Upon
my completion of the 27 month program, he plans to train me for an additional year in thoracic surgery and then have me work
full time as his surgical PA. I am extremely grateful for the opportuinity and his willingness to help me and look forward
to the many challenges ahead of me in the next 3 to 4 years.
I'm looking forward to the challenge and all the fun that I will have.
